Q. HOW DO I KNOW YOU WILL LOOK AFTER MY PET?

A. I have available a folio of testimonials written by existing Animates Clients for you to inspect at the time of your consultation visit, also on this site. If you wish to contact any of these referees, their details will be supplied to you after my gaining their permission for you to call.


Q. WILL MY DOG BE ALLOWED OFF THE LEAD?

A. No. Due to insurance and safety reasons, dogs will NOT be allowed off their leads. Most dogs possess a terrible sense of mischief and may always return to their owners but not necessarily to a stranger. I do however have extending leads available for use in safe areas only; so that they can still have a good old run around. And believe me they do get every bit as much exercise.


Q. WILL MY PET BE WALKED / CARED FOR BY THE SAME PERSON?

A. No, there will be two of us to look after your pets. 


Q. WILL MY PET BE TRANSPORTED SAFELY?

A. Yes, pets will be transported to and from your chosen destination in a fully air conditioned / heated car. Cats must be provided with a basket or other means of secure confinement. Small pets must be placed inside suitably  sized and ventilated  boxes. Dogs will be hitched to a secure point in the car to prevent them from jumping out into the road when the door is opened.


Q. HOW DO I KNOW I CAN TRUST YOU?

A. I have available for your inspection, at the time of your consultation visit, a National Identification Service Authentic Document, Provided by the Cheshire Constabulary; also many existing client testimonials both here and in the folio, which you are welcome to view.


Q. WILL MY PET BE GIVEN REGULAR MEDICATION?

A. Yes, medication will always be given as per your instruction. Clearly printed instruction sheets should be awaiting our arrival on our first visit. This is an essential requirement, along with details of your usual Veterinary Practice. Visits will need to be arranged to coincide with times of dosage, wherever possible.

Q. DO YOU CATER FOR SPECIAL DIET REQUIREMENTS?

A.  Yes we do. Should your pet crave a T-Bone Steak at every meal we are happy to cater for his special needs, as long as his little extras are provided for us to give him at the required time, again a clear printed sheet of your pets needs must be made available and placed in a prominent position, awaiting our attention on arrival of our first visit.


Q. WHAT IF SOMETHING SHOULD GO WRONG?

A. Should your pet become ill or injure itself in your absence, I will take the animal to your appointed Veterinarian immediately I notice something amiss. Before your departure you must provide details of your Veterinarian. Emergency contact numbers for yourself or someone to act on your behalf, such as parents, trusted friends or neighbours. Should the very worst happen and your pet were to die, you must let me know if you wish to be informed whilst you are away. Also what your require me to do from thereon. I do apologise for raising such an unhappy scenario but in the case of elderly or terminally sick animals, this is always a possibility. It is therefore better to be prepared.


 Q. CAN YOU WATER MY PLANTS WHILE I'M AWAY?

A. Yes, If you have house plants, we will be happy to water them if they are left together in one area. Green Houses, garden tubs and borders, may be watered (time permitting) at an additional rate. Make sure you make us aware of your requirements before you leave and if possible leave instructions.

 Q. WILL HAVING A PET SITTER COME TO MY HOUSE GIVE ME THE                  BENEFIT OF ADDED SECURITY WHILE I'M AWAY?

A. Obviously your home is as important to you, as are your pets. On each visit to your house we will remove both mail and circulars from your letterbox and place it out of sight from nearby windows. Having someone to check on your pets throughout the day means your property will still appear lived in. The times of our visits will  vary, therefore our arrival and departure cannot consistently be counted on by any prospective burglar. Curtains will be drawn and opened at appropriate times, morning/evening  if requested.

 


 

Q. CAN YOU KEEP OUR KEY IF WE NEED YOU FOR FUTURE VISITS ?

A. Should you decide you would like to use Animates on a regular basis your keys can be held on file securely to avoid the inconvenience of having to drop them off to us whenever you need further pet care.

However if you do not require this service, keys will be returned to you once we know you are safely home, in case of delayed flights etc, enabling us to continue looking after your pets. This is also a great service in case you should ever inadvertently lock yourself out of your house. Just give us a call and you can arrange to collect the key.

PLEASE NOTE: House keys should be made available to us at the time of your consultation visit. If you can (not obligatory) leave a further set with a trusted friend or neighbour this would be very much appreciated in case of emergencies, or heaven forbid , the key we hold should  malfunction in anyway.

Q. WILL YOU PUT MY BIN BAGS OUT FOR COLLECTION?

A. Any refuse will be placed outside ready for collection, where bin bags and collection dates are made available to us.
